Jacqueline Rice, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Empowering Minds Behavioral Health

Groundwork Counseling, LLC has partnered with Jacqueline Rice, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Empowering Minds Behavioral Health. A Message from Jacqueline: "My passion is helping individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered as they navigate their mental health journey. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD/trauma-related disorders, insomnia, and other mood and behavioral health conditions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized—because mental health treatment should never feel like a one-size-fits-all experience. I believe one of the most important parts of psychiatric care is taking the time to "listen". I want my patients to understand their diagnosis, know why a medication is being recommended, feel comfortable asking questions, and have an active voice in treatment decisions. My goal isn't simply to treat symptoms; it's to help each person improve their functioning, regain confidence, and move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life. I also strongly believe that medication and therapy work best when providers work together. I value collaborative relationships with therapists and other healthcare professionals and welcome opportunities to coordinate care so that our shared patients receive consistent, comprehensive support. Above all, I strive to create an environment where patients can show up as they are—without judgment—and know that we will work together to determine the next step forward. “It’s OK not to be OK, but let’s do something about it.”"
