Individual Supervision/Counseling

Individual Supervision/Counseling

What is the purpose of Individual Supervision?

The purpose of supervision in the mental health profession is to enrich the provider's attitudes, knowledge and skill, and practices in order to competently provide feedback that results in improved clinical care of clients. The supervisor teaches therapeutic skills and helps the learning provider develop self-awareness to better the counseling interventions with the learning provider's clients. The supervisor guides the learning provider in finding ways to decrease job-related stress and improve job performance.

Who is Individual Supervision Right For?

Pre-professionals who are looking to further an education or meet supervision requirements for a degree or license may seek supervision in order to do so.

Helpers Need Help Too:

Even mental health professionals need help sometimes. Groundwork Counseling, LLC encourages mental providers to come forward if/when they need help. Individual Counseling is available to providers that need a safe space to discuss stressors, concerns, and establish and meet goals.
